【摘要】:MethodsAorBareusefulintestinghermetically-sealeddeviceswithinternalvolumes.Maximumacceptableleakrateshavebeenestablishedformicroelectronicdevicestoassureperformancecharacteristicswillnotbeaffectedbyin-leakageofair,watervapororothercontaminantsovertheprojectedlifeexpected.Caremustbetakentocontrolthebombingpressure,bombingtimeanddwelltimeafterbombingortheresultscanvarysubstantially.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverproceduresfortestingdevicesthataresealedpriortotesting,suchassemiconductors,hermeticallyenclosedrelays,pyrotechnicdevices,etc.,forleakagethroughthewallsoftheenclosure.Theymaybeusedwithvariousdegreesofsensitivity(dependingontheinternalvolume,thestrengthoftheenclosure,thetimeavailableforpreparationoftest,andonthesorptioncharacteristicsoftheenclosurematerialforhelium).Ingeneralpracticethesensitivitylimitsarefrom4.41015to4.41011moles/s(109standardcm3/sto105standardcm3/sat0C)forhelium,althoughtheselimitsmaybeexceededbyseveraldecadesineitherdirectioninsomecircumstances.1.2Twotestmethodsaredescribed:1.2.1TestMethodATestpartpreparationbybombing.1.2.2TestMethodBTestpartpreparationbyprefilling.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
