【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusedtoobtainthevolatilescontentofcompositematerialprepreg.Knowledgeofthevolatilescontentisusefulindevelopingoptimummanufacturingprocesses.Thevolatilescontentisdeterminedafterexposuretothenominalcureorconsolidationtemperature.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthevolatilescontent,inweightpercentofcompositematerialprepregs.Thisstandardfocusesoncompositeswiththermosettingresinsthattendtoloseafewpercentofthematrixmasswhenheatedduetolossofbothretainedwaterandlowmolecularweightmatrixconstituentsthatvolatilizeduringheating.1.2Useofthistestmethodislimitedtomaximumtemperatureofcirculatingairovens(approximately300x00B0;C).1.3Useofthistestmethodislimitedtotemperaturesbelowwhichthematrixflowsfromthereinforcement.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninSection8.
